TuneVale Privacy Policy
Updated and effective: September 19, 2026.
Operator: Xiamen Xianggu Technology Co., Ltd (厦门响谷科技有限公司). TuneVale is also known as 调调 in Simplified Chinese.
This policy explains how TuneVale handles information when you use its audio features, visit its support and privacy pages, or contact us. Contact: jiangbingfen@fluffdiary.com.
Audio processing
TuneVale provides recording, audio editing, audio extraction from video, noise reduction, vocal/accompaniment separation and export. You do not need a TuneVale account. The current app does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. The app does not upload your audio, video, drafts or search content to us, and we do not use your editing content to train models. If you choose to email us an attachment, we receive it as part of your support request, as described below.
Files, recordings and drafts
The app reads audio or video you choose through the system picker and creates copies needed for processing in its storage. Editing settings, file names, durations, waveforms, drafts and exports are stored on your device. Editing in the app does not overwrite the originals in Photos or external file locations.
Microphone access is requested for recording. Audio is captured only when you start recording. Denying microphone access does not prevent you from using features that do not require recording. You can change this permission in system settings.
Processing caches and device information
Playback, waveform, noise reduction and separation caches support the features you request. Some rebuildable caches are cleared when needed. The app reads available storage to determine whether processing can complete, reads modification times of files in its storage to reuse or clean caches, and uses system timing information to measure task duration. This information is not used for advertising tracking or device fingerprinting.
Subscriptions and App Store services
TuneVale Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. The app uses StoreKit to load subscription products and prices and to verify purchase status, expiration and revocation when deciding whether a Pro export is available. Restoring purchases asks Apple to synchronize your purchases.
Apple handles your Apple Account and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. TuneVale does not ask you to provide a payment card number or Apple Account password to us. Audio processing remains on your device. App Store purchase and restore operations may require a network connection.
Sharing, cloud files and system services
When you choose to export or share, selected content is passed to the app or location you select. That recipient handles it under its own rules. The system may download files you choose from iCloud or another file provider. System keyboards, device backups and Apple services such as TestFlight may process information according to your settings and their rules. This is separate from TuneVale uploading your media to our servers. Please review the privacy information for services you choose to use.
Retention, deletion and backups
Sources, drafts and exports remain on your device so you can continue editing or exporting. Deleting a draft removes its editing records and attempts to remove in-app sources used only by that draft. Sources still used by other drafts remain. Exported files must be deleted separately.
If deletion or file cleanup fails, the app reports the problem and offers a retry; unfinished file cleanup can remain pending. Originals in Photos or external file locations, shared copies and system backups must be managed at their respective locations. Processing caches are managed separately; deleting a draft does not mean all related caches are immediately removed.
In iOS, Delete App normally removes the app's local data. Offload App keeps its documents and data; these actions are different. System backups and copies shared or exported to other locations must be managed separately. Save important exports before deleting the app.
Support email
If you email jiangbingfen@fluffdiary.com, we receive your email address, the name you choose to provide, your message and any attachments you send. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, troubleshoot the issue and handle related privacy requests. We use Tencent Enterprise Email to receive, store and send this correspondence.
Please send only the details needed to explain the issue. Do not send passwords, payment card details or identity documents. Avoid sending private recordings or information about other people; where a sample is needed, use a short example without unrelated personal information.
We retain support correspondence only for the shortest period needed to handle the request and necessary follow-up, resolve an actual dispute or meet applicable legal obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized as required by applicable law. Deleting data inside TuneVale does not delete email correspondence, and deleting an email does not delete drafts on your device.
You can contact the same address to request access, a copy, correction or deletion of information you have sent us, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Please identify the correspondence concerned. We may need information to verify the request, but not unrelated identity documents. Requests are handled in accordance with applicable law; if a request cannot be fulfilled, we explain why. You may also raise a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
Visiting our web pages
When you open a support or privacy page, the server processes connection information such as your IP address, requested page and browser request headers to deliver the page. These page requests do not include your audio, video, drafts or search content from TuneVale. These pages do not include advertising or behavioral analytics scripts or third-party fonts.
TuneVale's in-app privacy reader uses a non-persistent web session with JavaScript disabled. Hosting infrastructure may separately process operational or security logs. If you open links in an external browser, that browser handles its history and storage under your settings.
We operate in Xiamen, China, and our website is hosted on Alibaba Cloud infrastructure in Singapore. Contacting us or visiting these pages can therefore involve processing outside your country. This does not upload your on-device editing files to the website. Please use the contact address above for questions or requests about this processing.
